Some of the most successful Atlantic Canadian startup founders in the region's history will headline the 2023 edition of Entrevestor Live, our three-hour conference that showcases the biggest and best of the region’s high-growth companies.
This year's discussions will be hosted by noted academic and entrepreneur Dr. Dhirendra Shukla, and will feature iconic East Coast innovation companies like BioVectra, Mysa Smart Thermostats and Radian6.
The conference will be live-streamed concurrently with its in-person component, which will be held at Halifax startup hub Volta the afternoon of Nov. 14. Attendees will have the chance to hear Atlantic Canadian founders' first-hand accounts of growing innovation-driven companies in the region and expanding into global markets.
“Entrevestor Live will present a group of companies and entrepreneurs that demonstrate just how successful Atlantic Canada has been in producing market-leading companies,” said Shukla, who is Chair of the J. Herbert Smith Centre for Technology, Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of New Brunswick and a co-founder of Fredericton startup Gray Wolf Analytics.
“If entrepreneurs want to learn how to build global companies in this ecosystem, there is no better way than learning from the people who have done it.”
The program will feature:
A Fireside Chat with Josh Green
CEO of Mysa Smart Thermostat
Green will chronicle the remarkable journey of his St. John’s-based cleantech company, which raised $20.3 million in 2021 and launched its products in Europe in July.
Radian6 Remembered
We’ll revisit the story of one of Atlantic Canada's most iconic startups, Radian6, which was acquired by Salesforce for $326 million in 2011. Join former Radian6 CEO Marcel LeBrun and head of marketing David Alston as they share their insights.
A Fireside Chat with Oliver Technow
CEO of BioVectra
Technow will offer attendees a look inside the remarkable growth story of Charlottetown-based drug manufacturer BioVectra, recognized by Communitech as the only Atlantic Canadian innovation company on track to reach $1 billion in revenues by 2030.
We are currently finalizing the day's other sessions, which will include such luminaries as: Greg Poirier, CEO of CloudKettle; Jennifer LaPlante, Chief Growth & Investment Officer at Canada’s Ocean Supercluster; Travis McDonough, Founder and CEO of Kinduct; and LeadSift Co-Founders Sreejata Chatterjee and Tukan Das.
We will be adding more names in the coming weeks and fleshing out the program.
Tickets for Entrevestor Live are priced at levels that most founders can afford, and can be purchased here. We’re also offering discounts for anyone who buys tickets for both Entrevestor Live and the Atlantic Tech Summit, which will be held Nov. 15.
