Outcast a Semi-Finalist In Food Waste Reduction

Halifax-based Outcast Foods has received $100,000 after being named a semi-finalist in the Government of Canada's Food Waste Reduction Challenge. Twelve finalists will receive $400,000 and two winners will each receive $1,500,000.

STDC Funds Cleantech Companies

The federally backed Sustainable Development Technology Canada foundation is expanding its cleantech Seed Fund by distributing grants to 21 new companies, including five with ties to Atlantic Canada.
