We’re thrilled to announce that on Oct. 6 we’ll host Entrevestor Live, a virtual conference that showcases some of the greatest success stories in the Atlantic Canadian startup community.
Presented in collaboration with our Founding Partner BDC Capital, Entrevestor Live’s primary goal is to explain to investors outside the region how some of our finest companies grew their operations on the East Coast. While we hope investors will attend the conference, we’re pricing the tickets so founders and staff at East Coast startups can join in as well.
This event will be affordable, informative, and squeezed into a single afternoon to ensure the best use of everyone’s time.
‘’The momentum we are seeing in the Atlantic technology ecosystem is inspiring and presents some bright opportunities for the years to come,” said Jérôme Nycz, Executive Vice President, BDC Capital. “BDC Capital is proud to be a founding sponsor of Entrevestor Live and we are thrilled to join what we are foreseeing will be a very dynamic event.’’
The cornerstone of the three-hour program will be in-depth sessions on leading companies, in which CEOs will appear with long-time investors to analyze their companies’ growth. The three companies are:
- CarbonCure Technologies – Dartmouth-based CarbonCure has developed technology that cures concrete by injecting it with carbon dioxide, producing a high-quality concrete and reducing CO2 emissions. Founded by CEO Robert Niven, the company received investment in 2020 from such blue chip investors as Breakthrough Energy Ventures, and in 2021 was a co-winner of the Carbon XPRIZE.
- Introhive – Based in Fredericton and Miami, Introhive sells AI-based customer relationship management, or CRM, software. It uses artificial intelligence to identify data stored in companies’ tech systems, and helps them to use it to increase revenue and improve productivity. Led by CEO Jody Glidden. Introhive in June raised a US$100 million ($122 million) Series C funding round led by Boston-based PSG.
- META – Dartmouth-based Metamaterials Inc. is a specialist in producing metamaterials – materials comprising compounds not found in nature – that alter light, either by magnifying, repelling or filtering it. The company, led by CEO George Palikaras, listed on the Nasdaq in July, and initially had a market capitalization of about US$2.2 billion (C$2.7 billion).
As well as sessions with these stellar companies, the program will include panel discussions on key aspects of the East Coast startup community. As well as an overview of the sector, we’ll have discussions on opportunities in ocean technology and the valuation of Atlantic Canadian startups.
Tickets for the event are now on sale here at an early-bird rate of $50+HST. The price will go up to $70 two weeks before the event.
Atlantic Canada is finally building the global innovation-driven companies that our community has been dreaming of for years. Entrevestor Live will be your chance to understand how these companies have scaled.
