Halifax-based Tribe Network, the region’s support hub for BIPOC founders, is offering entrepreneurs a Consulting Advisory Services Grant (CAS).

The grant supports Black-owned businesses in Atlantic Canada by providing access to expertise that helps them grow, acquire customers, and scale, the group said in a statement.

The grant offers eligible Black entrepreneurs and businesses the opportunity to receive small-scale consulting services for a specific project.

Tribe Network will pay the consultant directly up to $5,000, based on a prepared scope of work and a signed contract before work begins.

Eligibility Requirements:

One of the founders must be Black.
The business must be registered in Atlantic Canada.
The proposed consultant must be at arm's length from the applicant.
The project should not begin until a contract is signed between Tribe Network, the business owner, and the consultant.
