Halifax-based Sheepdog Inc., an industry leader in the development of Google Apps, began beta-testing its new Milely app for smartphones on Monday, following up on the success of its gTrax time tracking application and the GooGrant application filter.
The company said in a statement that Milely operates on Android and iPhone to track the users’ driving mileage and includes such features as a management approval process, entry auditing and custom reporting.
The company is targeting corporations interested in tracking staff mileage in an efficient and inexpensive manner.
As part of the beta launch, Sheepdog is offering free to as many as 10 users as a test and will use the feedback to enhance the product for full release in the new year. Like other SAAS applications, users will experience new features added to Milely frequently as updates happen, said the company.
Sheepdog offers clients a range of services, including developing apps on the Google App Engine, reselling Google Apps and migrating companies with 50 to 6,000 seats on to the cloud. It was founded by Director of Development Brandon Kolybaba and is now overseen by CEO Julia Rivard.
