The co-CEOs of Saint John technology company Innovatia, Roxanne Fairweather and Dave Grebenc, have been inducted into industry group InnovateNB’s Hall of Fame.

Innovatia, which helps businesses develop and implement their internal information-sharing strategies, particularly at the technological level, was founded in 1999. Fairweather and Grebenc took over the business in 2009.

In addition to its New Brunswick headquarters, their company also has offices in Calgary and Bangalore, India. In a statement, InnovateNB said Innovatia has grown 350 percent since Fairweather and Grebenc became co-owners and now employs more than 350 people.

“Roxanne and Dave epitomize the spirit of collaboration, approaching their endeavors with an incredible sense of urgency, unafraid to challenge the conventional, and determined to leave the world a better place,” said InnovateNB.

“Their unique recipe for success lies in their capacity to mobilize and ignite inspiration in others to effect change.”

Fairweather was previously board chair of Opportunities New Brunswick, the province’s economic development agency, and used to chair the University of New Brunswick’s board of governors.

Grebenc, meanwhile, is chairman of ProcedureFlow, an information- and document-sharing software startup that he and Fairweather incubated within Innovatia before spinning it off into its own business, now helmed by Radian6 alum Daniella Degrace. Last year, ProcedureFlow raised $11.8 million in a funding round.

Several New Brunswick groups initiated the InnovateNB awards last year and the first inductee into the Hall of Fame was Mariner chair Gerry Pond, often hailed as the dean of the Atlantic Canadian startup community.
