The Atlantic Venture Forum has announced five guests for its Meet the Investors event, which will offer attendees the chance to hear senior venture capitalists discuss what they look for in potential investments.
Slated to be held virtually for the second year in a row, the Atlantic Venture Forum is scheduled for October 20 and 21. Its organizer is Calgary-based Critical Path Group, which describes itself as an “events, advisory and business intelligence firm” and hosts a slate of other conferences, including the Banff Venture Forum.
The five panelists are Laura Lenz, Katarina Neskovic, Niamh Barry, Courtney Cooper and Kimberly Yeung.
Lenz is a partner at OMERS Venturs -- the venture capital arm of Ontario-based pension fund manager OMERS -- where she heads up the firm’s Canadian investment team.
Neskovic is an analyst at Inovia Capital, a Montreal VC firm that focuses on offering founders “long-term mentorship.”
Barry is part of the investment team at Georgian, a fintech-focused VC firm that specializes in AI-based companies.
Cooper is the principle of Alate Partners, where her team invests in real estate-related tech startups.
And Yeung is the principle of VC giant BDC Capital’s Strategic Investments and Women in Tech Venture Fund.
Attending the Atlantic Venture Forum costs $199 plus tax, with a registration form available here. If the public health situation permits, Critical Path is considering pivoting to a hybrid digital and in-person format.
