Applications for Nova Scotia’s Clean Leadership Summer Internship Program open February 28th and close March 16th for youth 15-30 years old.

In preparation, organizers are hosting Skills Building Sessions to prepare youth for the job application process.

The Clean Leadership Summer Internship program matches employers with interns for summer work placements of between 9 to 15 weeks.

Organisers say the program allows youth to gain an enhanced appreciation for the environment and their community, and acquirie essential skills for life-long learning.

Internship projects are available across Nova Scotia, focused on climate change mitigation, clean tech, waste management, food security, research, and more.

Organizers say the focus is on providing equitable internship opportunities for all, and that they work with community partners to bring opportunities to BIPOC youth.
