Halifax startup hub Volta is looking for applicants to its Volta Cohort accelerator and pitch competition, which is held twice a year.
Applicants will pitch their early stage technology companies to a panel of judges, and up to five winners will receive $25,000, along with mentorship from CEOs and founders of Volta’s resident and alumni companies and access to Volta’s office space.
Volta started holding its Cohort events nearly four years ago and has held nine so far, with 44 winners. The prize money comes from Volta, BDC Capital and provincial venture capital Crown corporation Innovacorp, while the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency funds the running of the program.
The pitch competition is scheduled for May 25, and the deadline to apply is March 20. An application form can be found here.
