Invest Nova Scotia and the Halifax Chamber of Commerce are looking for applicants to its Atlantic Trade Accelerator Program, or TAP, designed to help young businesses tap international markets.
The program includes workshops, peer-to-peer activities and mentorship from domain experts. According to the chamber of commerce, about 70 percent of its participants go on to successfully export their products to international markets.
To be eligible, businesses must have at least $500,000 in annual revenue — so no pre-revenue startups — as well as two years of financial records. Companies can either be considering exporting their products, but not have started yet, or be looking to scale up ongoing export activities.
TAP will be held virtually over the course of seven half-day sessions.
The program costs $499 and will run from Jan. 16 to March 24.
