Saeed El-Darahali, President and CEO of Dartmouth-based marketing automation company SimplyCast, has added new appointments to the number of boards he sits on.

El-Darahali has been appointed to the National Research Council of Canada, the Black Business Initiative, Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia, the Transition Team for the Sobey School of Business and the YMCA Philanthropic Work Group.

“I am very happy to be able to give back to the local and national communities through these great associations,” said El-Darahali in a statement.

El-Darahali is known for his commitment to boosting opportunities for immigrants and youth. Last November, the company announced its plan to hire 100 interns in 2021 to help post-secondary students thrive during the pandemic.

In November, the company issued a statement about its new mobile solution to help businesses and organizations register people who visit their premises using their cell phones in order to facilitate COVID-related contact tracing.

The appointments by the Black Business Initiative and the Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia are re-appointments, the statement said.
