For eight years, BioNB and partners have held the bioeconomy conference Atlantic BIOCON. For this year's event, the partnership is expanding to include the Nova Scotia Innovation Hub, CCNB-INNOV and IGNITE Atlantic, and young researchers are being asked to enter a student competition.

This spring, instead of a single in-person conference, the BIOCON partnership will host interactive events that will promote collaboration and increase awareness of the sustainable innovation taking place in the region.

BIOCON 2021 will kick off with a virtual student poster competition in which student bioeconomy researchers can present their creative research projects virtually to a panel of judges.

The session will be held on April 30 and will be divided into two tiers: Undergraduate/College and Graduate students. Each winner will receive $500 and second place winners will receive $250.

Apply to present a poster HERE.  Initial Expressions of Interest are due March 15, and finalists will be notified by March 22.
