Sociallogical, the Saint John-based social media consultancy, has issued the following press release:
Social Media Crash Course Set for Toronto
TORONTO, ON -- Canadian social media strategy firm Sociallogical will teach attendees of a three-day crash course exactly how to create strategies for their clients.
Aimed at new and established business owners who want to own this important piece of their company’s growth plan, Sociallogical will walk attendees, step by step, through the important early questions that need to be answered. It will instruct attendees on the research they need to figure out where the target audience can be reached online, and the multiple steps that need to be taken to connect with those people and build relationships that lead to growth and sales.
“Smart companies build communities around their brands,” says founder and CEO Jeff Roach. “They embed social tools and practices into their operations and understand that social engagement does more than just market their products. It leads to better hiring, better service, increased sales, longer-term customer relationships, protection in the event of a crisis and more.”
The course takes place March 29-31 at One King West in downtown Toronto in a small group workshop format that allows for a lot of interaction and attendee-specific dialogue.
“Essentially, what we’re doing is giving away our secret sauce to a limited group,” says Phil Sweezey,
Director of Learning for Sociallogical. “Progressive business owners just want to have a solid grasp of these fundamentally important elements of growing a business in 2016. So we’re going to teach them that.”
Lamenting the trend in recent years of businesses simply hiring someone “young” or someone who “gets it” to own social media engagement, the team at Sociallogical regularly asks, “Who should own the strategic direction of your company?”
While the course is not a beginner course, Sociallogical will also be teaching a one-day intro course the day before the workshop for those who think they might need enlightenment on what can be reasonably expected from social media. The three-day Strategy course will get into specifics, basing guidance on data, research, and a current understanding of the groups a business hopes to reach. If a business owner can’t attend, “send your senior communications person who has the authority to make significant decisions for the company,” says Roach.
