Eilidh Lindsay-Sinclair, Director of Marketing at Halifax-based SaaS tech consultancy CloudKettle, has won a Rising Star Leadership Excellence Award from Women in Communications and Technology (WCT).

WCT works to empower Canadian women to succeed and lead in the digital economy. The Rising Star award goes to a young person whose talent and leadership abilities are evident early in their career.

CloudKettle helps major international clients improve how they use Salesforce and the Google Marketing Platform to drive revenue growth. Lindsay-Sinclair has helped CloudKettle double in size each year for the past four years. She was also behind the company joining Pledge 1%, a global movement that encourages companies to donate one per cent of their time, product, profit, and/or equity to charity.

She has built a recruitment program which includes a blind screening process for interview candidates. She founded and co-chairs Digital Skills for Women, which aims to increase digital literacy.

“I didn’t take a traditional path to a career in technology. As a result, I see and have felt some of the barriers women face when working in male-dominated sectors,” she said in a statement.

“The smart, dedicated, and passionate women I've met through Digital Skills for Women and the team I work with every day inspire me and make me hopeful for the future.”

Lindsay-Sinclair will receive her award at the WCT Annual Leadership Excellence Award Gala, which will be held on May 7 at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa.
