Invest Nova Scotia, the provincial business development agency, is seeking applicants to its Market Entry Development Program, which helps businesses establish a virtual presence in Europe or Asia in preparation to begin exporting.
The program, which is focused on countries that have trade agreements with Canada, involves Invest Nova Scotia helping participants develop strategies tailored to their specific business needs. And Invest Nova Scotia says its goal is to connect exporters to key decision-makers and help them develop a sales pipeline, including by providing boots-on-the-ground representation at trade shows and other business development opportunities.
The package costs just under $5,500, and includes 10 to 20 days of business development services delivered over several months. Participation in the program involves entering into a contract with the Atlantic Chamber of Commerce, and applicants must participate in an interview process.
“Applicants should be experienced or export-ready companies with viable opportunities to sell outside of Atlantic Canada,” says Invest Nova Scotia. “Companies must demonstrate an organizational commitment to fully executing an export growth strategy.”
There is no deadline to apply. Rather, applications are being accepted until the program reaches capacity. You can learn more here.
