The Ontario government and Ryerson University have launched an online platform to help companies develop export markets, and they’re looking for users in Atlantic Canada.
The Magnet Export Business Portal is now live and helping Canadian businesses find the resources they need to sell products and services in foreign markets. The Export Business Portal is open to companies across the country, and is already being used by more than 4,000 companies.
Ryerson’s Magnet program, which helps students find job opportunities, recently launched the portal with the backing of Ontario’s Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade.
“Magnet has almost 20,000 businesses already using its platform [to connect with potential employees], some of which are exporters or have export potential,” said Magnet Executive Director Mark Patterson in a statement. “We believe these companies and thousands more will see an immediate benefit from the Magnet Export Business Portal.”
The Export Business Portal, which is free, helps companies identify trade missions, events and funding opportunities that are well suited to their businesses. It helps managers reduce the time it takes to find the resources they need to expand in foreign markets.
Magnet says it takes about two minutes to register, which you can do here.
