Chantal Brine, CEO of Halifax-based mentorship software startup EnPoint, has won the Universal Women’s Network’s Women of Inspiration Mentorship Award.

Based in Calgary, the Universal Women’s Network is a global association for female executives and entrepreneurs that partners with companies to lessen the gender pay gap.

EnPoint’s software helps universities, companies, non-profits and professional associations manage formalized mentorship programs by logging interactions between mentors and mentees. Data is gathered on topics such as when people meet, for how long and what they talk about.

“Mentorship is at the core of who I am as an individual, as a leader and community member,” said Brine on LinkedIn. “It is also the core of our business.

“Here's to all the mentors and mentees working hard to continue to learn and grow in their knowledge, confidence, and overall development. You may never know the ripple effects of your investment, but do not doubt that there are many.”

The Inspiration Mentorship Award is Brine’s second accolade this month, having also taken home a Leadership Excellence Award from the national industry group Women in Communications and Technology.
