For a week this March, entrepreneurs, students and researchers will gather in Fredericton for the city’s Boost Ideation Camp with the aim of developing new ways to track and reduce the city’s greenhouse gas emissions.
Backed by Fredericton business incubator Planet Hatch and economic development agency Ignite Fredericton, the event will choose applicants partly based on whether they have expertise as a software developer, designer or project manager.
“This is a chance to play a part in creating a ‘made-in-Fredericton’ solution that will positively impact your community,” said the Boost team in a statement.
“In addition to prizes for the winning team, participants will benefit from exciting days of learning, professional development, networking, and mentorship."
Participation is free, and anyone who attends will receive a certificate they can show to their current or prospective employers.
An application form can be found here, the deadline for which is Feb. 20.
