Memorial University’s Research Innovation Office is accepting applications from startups for its Insight Business Consulting Program, which allows MBA students to consult for early-stage technology companies.
Funded by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and Killick Capital CEO Mark Dobbin, a Memorial alum, the Insight program pays master’s students $4,500 to consult for a startup for one semester on a topic like market analysis or financial projections, offering students hands-on experience and businesses access to free services.
To be eligible, though, startups must have a connection to one of Memorial’s affiliated innovation support programs, such as Genesis, the Memorial Centre for Entrepreneurship and the Ocean Startup Project.
“The program will provide companies with creative solutions, new insights, knowledge, and resources,” says Memorial on its website. “Students will gain real-world experience and industry connections.”
The deadline to apply, both for startups and students, is May 17 at 3:00 p.m. Newfoundland Time. More information and application forms can be found here.
