The Nova Scotia Health Authority Innovation Hub, which works with the private sector to deploy new healthcare technologies, will host a one-day informational session on 3D printing in healthcare Aug. 22.

Slated to be held at the Innovation Hub’s Nova Centre location in Halifax, the event will feature St. John’s-based PolyUnity, which was co-founded in 2018 by Memorial University-trained doctors Michael Bartellas, Stephen Ryan and Travis Picket. The company specializes in 3D printing medical models and various other supplies for hospitals, such as test tube racks.

In addition to a discussion of PolyUnity’s origin story, the event will include more technical discussions from the company’s product and design teams, along with fulsome networking opportunities.

“Discover the boundless potential of 3D printing and digital design, empowering health care staff to explore new dimensions to creatively reimagine their work,” says the Innovation Hub. “Join us for immersive hands-on experiences with cutting-edge technology, unlocking innovative ways to enhance health care.”
