GrowthWorks Atlantic To Wind Up

GrowthWorks Atlantic Venture Fund Ltd., one of the first venture capital funds in Atlantic Canada, has decided to wind up operations.

The fund has not raised new capital since 2014, and has been reducing its holdings in recent years as its portfolio companies exited, collapsed or found buyers for GrowthWorks’ shares.

Now its board has decided the time has come to wind up the fund entirely.

Woodward Cup To Be Held June 16

The Memorial Centre for Entrepreneurship will hold the Mel Woodward Cup pitching competition on June 16 – a virtual presentation of the biggest event on its calendar.

Propel, Navigate Sign MOU

CBGF, Innovacorp Invest in Proposify

With its annual recurring revenue hitting $8 million, Halifax-based Proposify has closed a substantial funding round led by Toronto-based Canadian Business Growth Fund, or CBGF.
