Economic development agency Invest Nova Scotia is looking for applicants to this year's edition of its Export Development Program for young companies looking to develop sales outside of Nova Scotia or Canada.
Successful applicants will receive $15,000 of funding to spend on either hiring a consultant to help develop their export strategy, or else attending an international trade show.
"The Export Development Program (EDP) supports Nova Scotia businesses looking to increase their sales outside Nova Scotia, improve their competitiveness, and positively impact the Nova Scotia economy," says Invest Nova Scotia. "The program provides financial incentives to offset the costs of projects that assist a business’ ability to overcome barriers to export growth."
Applications will be open until January of next year, but successful applicants can begin their export development work before then. Companies must have completed the work for which they receive funding by March 31, 2025. You can learn more and apply here.
