Innovacorp, Nova Scotia’s venture capital Crown corporation, is looking for applicants for its five Innovacorp Accelerate streams: bluetech, healthtech, agtech, cleantech and software.

The participating companies, which must have sales of less than $1 million and equity investment of less than $250,000, will each receive up to $40,000 in grants -- up from $25,000 for previous cohorts. They will also have access to coaching, monthly workshops and market research from Ontario-based MaRS Market Intelligence Services.

Accelerate, which Innovacorp retooled last summer, replaces both the old, longer program of the same name and the shorter Sprint accelerator. It is completely virtual and aimed at companies that have already established market opportunities for products based on science or engineering-related intellectual property, as well as having completed or nearly completed a proof of concept or prototype.

The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 3 and entrepreneurs can learn more, as well as fill out an application form, here. Shortlisted companies will be contacted Feb. 17 and the winners will be notified March 2.
