Innovacorp has announced that applications are open for its five sector-specific Innovacorp Accelerate streams as well as the GreenShoots program, which is aimed at early-stage agritech or bioeconomy companies.
Each stream offers grants of up to $40,000 and expertise to Nova Scotia startups that hit milestones on the path to investment-readiness.
The following Accelerate streams are offered 100 percent virtually:

Accelerate Health Tech
Accelerate Agriculture Tech
Accelerate Clean Tech
Accelerate Software
The early-stage venture capital funding agency said entrepreneurs should apply if:
Their technology is rooted in a scientific discovery or engineering innovation that represents globally relevant intellectual property.
They have a strong technical or business founder, and an established Nova Scotia-based company built around a customer-validated problem.
They have identified a large market pain, done market research and performed thorough competition analysis.
They are ready to complete, or have already completed, a proof of concept or prototype and validated their technology.
The deadline for submissions is Aug.4.
Innovacorp has partnered with Bioenterprise Canada Corp. to offer GreenShoots, which provides support for early-stage technology companies in the agriculture, agri-food, bioeconomy, clean technology, and related sectors.
