Rural innovation hub IGNITE Atlantic will host a pair of workshops on artificial intelligence in partnership with Toronto-based consultancy H10 AI on Sept. 26 in Yarmouth, N.S. and Sept. 29 in New Glasgow, N.S.

Attendees will receive training from industry experts and hear from two presenters, AI researcher and H10 chief executive Helmut Neher, as well as COO Dillon Kearl, who was previously economic development officer for the oil industry Mecca of Fort McMurray, Alberta. The duo formerly founded an exercise app startup called Aerobi.

Both workshops will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m., and attendees will be able to sign up for free.  They will also be invited to 30-minute consultations about how they can leverage AI in the context of their own businesses.

“By the end of the session, participants will confidently be able to define AI and understand when it should and shouldn't be implemented, equipping them with essential knowledge for navigating the evolving landscape of modern business,” said IGNITE in a statement.
