Dal Innovates has opened applications for the winter cohort of its Collide training program for budding entrepreneurs.

Aimed specifically at university students, the Collide program promises to teach participants the basics of customer discovery and de-risking their startup, as well as preparing them for other Dal Innovates programming, such as its Ready2Launch and Lab2Market accelerators.

"Collide helps students learn how to match a problem to a solution, determine their business’s value proposition, learn the basics of human-centered design, and much more," says Dal Innovates's website.

Collide runs twice a year — once in the fall and once in the winter. The course content for the winter session is more advanced than the introductory fall session, but students can join the winter session without first having completed the fall session.

Starting Feb. 1, participants will attend weekly sessions at Dalhousie University’s main campus in Halifax. Anyone who attends all of the sessions and completes all of the assignments will receive a $200 stipend.

The application deadline is Jan. 25. Interested entrepreneurs can learn more and apply here.
