The second annual session of The Spark: Igniting Conversations series will focus on growing entrepreneurship in the African Nova Scotian community, introducing new entrepreneurs to seasoned ones to share how to build successful businesses.

Organizers invite anyone who’s interested in supporting or working with Black businesses to attend and begin building relationships. For those looking to start or grow a business, speakers will identify potential opportunities and challenges as well as resources available.

The event will take place between 5.30 and 7.30pm today, Tuesday, Sept. 6, at The Prince George Hotel in Halifax.

Created in partnership with RBC, The Spark: Igniting Conversations speaker series was created by the African Nova Scotian community to bring private, public, and post-secondary leaders together to discuss innovative ideas that will advance the Road to Economic Prosperity Action Plan which is focused on increasing African Nova Scotian participation in education, employment, and entrepreneurship.
