Fredericton-based Remsoft, which uses data analytics to aid forestry companies, has promoted two executives to director positions to upgrade its data and analytics services and its sales team.

The company announced this week that Marie Eve Fillion has been promoted to director of analytics solutions, while Mike Hutchinson has been named director of technical sales.

Remsoft has developed software that analyzes data to produce business intelligence that helps forestry companies and others make the best use of their land.

“Forest organizations are expanding their use of digital technologies to improve adaptability, execution and competitive advantage,” said Remsoft CEO Andrea Feunekes in the release.

“From smarter planning to more efficient forest operations, we’re strengthening our capabilities to help customers make more effective use of available data and analytics for positive impact across their business. In their new positions, Marie and Mike will play a critical role in ensuring we meet rising client needs through our software products, services and technical sales engagement.”

In her new role, Fillion will be tasked with driving growth for Remsoft Analytics Solutions. Building on her expertise in optimization and client project management, she will liaise with customers to gather and translate business needs into technical product development.

Hutchinson will support the quality and effectiveness of the company's client interaction during sales engagement, ensuring it is responsive and reflects Remsoft’s technical expertise in forestry practices.
