Joey Adler to Address Starting Point Conference
Can the world be changed through Entrepreneurship? The focus of the Starting Point Entrepreneurship conference is to foster innovation while encouraging students to ‘think big’ and consider the economic, social and environmental implications of a business – a new way of thinking!
With the support of the Sobey School Business Development Centre, the Starting Point Student Entrepreneurship Conference will bring together post-secondary students from universities and colleges across Canada to hear from extraordinary speakers, learn from experts in their field, and win money for their businesses.
The conference will take place February 17th - 19th, 2016 at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Activities of the conference will explore this year’s theme, “Change the World through Entrepreneurship”.

Ms. Joey Adler is an innovative entrepreneur and humanitarian seeking to reinvent the business of philanthropy through ground-breaking sustainable models. Starting Point Student Entrepreneurship Conference
WHAT: The Sobey School Business Development Centre (SSBDC) at Saint Mary’s University is pleased to host the 2nd year of Starting Point Student Entrepreneurship Conference for entrepreneurial students from post-secondary institutions across Canada.
WHO: The Starting Point Student Entrepreneurship Conference is organized with financial support from the Government of Canada through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency’s (ACOA) Business Development Program.

WHERE: Scotiabank Theatre, Sobey Building, Saint Mary's University
WHY: We know that we need more people starting and running successful small businesses in order to keep NS thriving. The Starting Point Conference builds upon the SSBDC’s past successes with entrepreneurship programs. In the last 5 years alone, it has engaged more than 3,300 businesses; and has provided opportunities for more than 4,500 students to be engaged in curricular and extra-curricular activities.
