Fredericton startup hub Planet Hatch has opened applications for its Business Immigrant Essentials Accelerator, which promises entrepreneurship training tailored to the specific needs of new Canadians.

The five-week program will offer participants resources and support around Canadian business culture and customs, as well as business standards and best practices.

Entrepreneurs will also receive a Planet Hatch membership, as well as help with customer validation and developing go-to-market strategies, and will be eligible for up to $25,000 of funding.

“Participants will graduate from the program with a newfound confidence to navigate Canadian business culture,” said Planet Hatch in a statement.

To apply, entrepreneurs must be newcomers to New Brunswick and have a business idea they want to pursue.

More information and an application form can be found here. The deadline to apply is Feb. 2.
