Canada’s Ocean Supercluster will host a one-day conference in Ottawa May 15, dubbed Ambition 2035, with the aim of workshopping strategies to grow the national blue economy to $220 billion over the next 12 years.

The conference will include a roster of speakers including Supercluster CEO Kendra MacDonald, executives from corporations like ExxonMobil and Swedish defence contractor Saab Technologies, and the founders of startups like Newfoundland and Labrador-based Kraken Robotics and Halifax’s Graphite Innovation and Technologies.

The event comes as the Supercluster looks to increase participation in its programming by industry players outside Atlantic Canada, making good on a promise it made to stakeholders last year during its successful application for a renewed five year mandate from the federal government.

“Join us as we explore new ways to work together to achieve a 5X ambition for Canada,” says the Supercluster. “This event will include insightful ideas from industry leaders and discussions to help build Canada’s roadmap to a $220 billion ocean economy.”

The conference will be held at Ottawa’s Shaw Centre and costs $213.27 to attend. You can learn more and register here.
