Marketing specialist Katelyn Bourgoin and her CustomerCamp team are launching a new online community called Marketing Mastermind to help marketers and entrepreneurs navigate the new business environment.
Marketing Mastermind is a free pop-up community in which marketers and entrepreneurs help each other figure out what marketing looks like in this “new normal.”
Bourgoin said in an interview that she launched the idea on Wednesday, and she already has 200 people signed up to participate. Interested parties are not just from Nova Scotia; she also has interest from among her Twitter followers from across the U.S. and elsewhere.
“Obviously Covid-19 has changed everything,” she said. “Our goal with Mastermind is to help more businesses think through how best to approach marketing in the coming months.”
Participants in the program will design an action plan. Then they will support each other through the 90-day execution phase.
The topics under examination include whether it’s all right to conduct marketing in the current environment, and how to sell without seeming insensitive or “tone-deaf”.
“We'll be hosting weekly mastermind calls where people can talk through their strategy with other smart people,” Bourgoin said. “Participants will get to connect with other entrepreneurs and get access to tools, templates and feedback along the way.”
Marketing Mastermind will accept entrants here for the next two weeks.
Bourgoin is a serial entrepreneur and the founder of CustomerCamp, which stresses the importance of maintaining contact with customers. She is also working with Nova Scotia Business Inc. on an online program called Your 90-Day Action Plan. It helps Nova Scotian companies devise and execute on a plan through the end of June and its two cohorts are already full.
