Nominations are being sought for the InnovateNB awards that recognize individuals and companies that are boosting the innovation sector in New Brunswick.

This is the second year that a consortium of New Brunswick startup support groups are offering these awards, which are the successor to the long-standing KIRA Awards. Nominations are sought in ten award categories, ranging from the Emerging Innovator, which honours companies that have shown excellence in the early stages of development, to the Diversity and Inclusion Champion.

The organizers are also seeking nominations for 'Ones to Watch’, which is special recognition given to rising innovative individuals.

The deadline to submit nominations is Monday, July 24th at 11:59pm ADT. The top three nominees from each category will be announced as finalists on July 31. The award ceremony will be held Oct. 12 in Fredericton, where winners and the Mariner Hall of Fame inductee for 2023 will be announced.

The organizing groups are: TechImpact; the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation; the University of New Brunswick’s McKenna Institute; Propel and Ignite
