Industry group Digital Nova Scotia is seeking nominations for this year’s Tech Forward Awards, which honour social and business pioneers in the technology sector.
With winners in eight categories, the awards ceremony will be held Nov. 9 at the Halifax Marriot Harbourfront. People can self-nominate, or be nominated by their employers or industry peers. Digital Nova Scotia is particularly looking for nominees from underrepresented groups, such as women, Indigenous people and members of the LGBTQ community.
“Together we are recognizing that diversity is fueling innovation in our province, and the impact and influence of leaders in our community,” said Digital Nova Scotia in a statement.
Originally founded in 1989, the organization offers a slate of training and networking programs for technology sector workers, with the stated goal of “fostering growth in Nova Scotia’s digital economy.”
