Halifax startup hub Volta will host a Women Taking over the World with Tech, or WTWT, pitch competition next Tuesday, March 26 at 4:00 p.m.
The competition, to be held virtually, will invite female founders to deliver three-minute pitches and receive feedback from a panel of of industry experts. The judging will be based on the quality of both the pitch and the underlying business, and the winner will receive a $500 Visa gift card.
“This event provides an opportunity for women entrepreneurs to practice their pitches and receive feedback from a panel of industry experts,” says Volta on the event registration page.
“The judging panel is comprised of experienced entrepreneurs, potential investors and community leaders.”
The competition is part of a broader initiative from Volta of the same name, which offers networking and training opportunities for women working in the information technology sector.
