Halifax startup hub Volta’s annual Democamp, which gives startups the chance to showcase their technology for investors and other innovation community members, is scheduled for Feb. 16.
Held virtually, the event will give entrepreneurs the chance to expound on how their innovations work and their value propositions. But they must do so without the help of a slide deck. The aim of the Democamp is to focus on the technology being showcased, not the finances or business development strategies of the companies presenting.
Each company will have five minutes to discuss their product, and audience members will be encouraged to offer feedback or ask questions.
The event will not be judged and there will be no prizes. To be eligible, startups must be based in Atlantic Canada and have working technology to showcase. Anyone can attend as an audience member.
Founders interested in participating can learn more and apply here. The deadline is Jan. 23 at 11:59 p.m.
