We in the media missed a little item this week, but it merits a bit, maybe quite a bit, of attention: SimplyCast has launched a Chinese version.
The Dartmouth-based company is already a global leader in multi-channel marketing and CEO Saeed El-Darahali is now making good on his ambitions to dominate this business worldwide. The former Innovacorp exec never lacked determination, planning SimplyCast at inception as a platform-as-a-service enterprise rather than a simple software-as-a-service solution, meaning the company could develop new products more quickly and inexpensively than competitors.
With the launch of the new Chinese service, SimplyCast becomes the first multi-channel marketing company with more than 10 online tools being fully translated into Chinese. The company plans to add several more languages in the next 12 months, conducting what it calls a “virtual trip around the world”.
The company’s multi-language translation has been in production for more than a year, and the launch of SimplyCast Version 7 in January was the final stage of development.
Now its users can easily change each marketing application into simplified Chinese from English with the click of a button. It will allow SimplyCast to attract Chinese partners to further expand internationally.
"By translating our online solution into traditional Chinese, we are now able to participate in the explosive growth of that region" said El-Darahali in a statement.
Added the company’s blogger: “The team initially wanted to go with Klingon but we did not see that bringing in a lot of leads. So it is Chinese to start.”
