SimplyCast, the Halifax-based multi-channel marketing company, announced today that it has launched Version 7 of its software, as we reported in November.
SimplyCast is one of the more ambitious companies I follow here, and has been since its inception. CEO Saeed El-Darahali was never content just to be another software-as-a-service company and took the time and money to find the staff to develop a unique platform-as-a-service company. Though I often write in praise of exits, I admire El-Darahali for stating openly that he does not want to exit this business until he’s established it as a major international player.
He is getting closer to that goal with Version 7 as it is now the only marketing site that allows the user 13 different tools from one platform, and has the most flexible pricing on the market.
The numerous upgrades in Version 7 include SimplyCast’s new Epic Free 5,000 credits plan, which feature allows every registered free each month user to send up to 5,000 emails, 50 faxes, 5 SMS messages and use a Twitter automation tool and signup form creation tool.
The other upgrades featured in Version 7.0 include a press release submission tool, A/B split testing, the option to create custom packages, and a social media bar to easily share campaigns. When users need to upgrade their plan, they have the choice to select the extras they want to pay for. There is also a managed service option that provides a hands free approach to marketing, where everything is done on behalf of the client by the SimplyCast team for $99/month.
Disclosure: I have done consulting work for SimplyCast.
