Five startups received grants of $25,000 each from Innovation PEI last fall as part of its Ignition Fund, the agency has announced.

Launched in 2014, the fund has so far backed 80 companies. Several of this round of recipients, including Jems Boutique and Knit Pickers PEI, are established small businesses that are now launching more ambitious and scaleable projects.
