St. John’s-based Final POS has been named an affinity partner by the Atlantic Chamber of Commerce, meaning the chamber’s member businesses can receive preferred payment processing rates.
The partnership is available to businesses with active memberships in local chambers of commerce or boards of trade within the ACC network, which represents more than 16,000 businesses through more than 90 organizations across Atlantic Canada.
Under the arrangement, eligible businesses can access preferred payment processing rates, a payment terminal on loan at no charge for qualifying businesses, and point-of-sale software without monthly subscription fees. Pricing is based on transactions.
Headquartered in St. John’s, Final POS develops customizable point-of-sale and payment solutions that combine software, hardware and integrated payment processing.
"Building Final POS in Atlantic Canada has always been something we're proud of, and partnering with the Atlantic Chamber of Commerce makes this announcement especially meaningful," said Final POS Founder and CEO Mathias Nielsen in a statement. "We know how hard local business owners work, and we believe they deserve world-class technology, fair pricing and exceptional service."
Nielsen previously founded Oliver POS, and as the CEO of that company he won Propel’s Gerry Pond Award for sales in 2020.
Final POS will also provide members with a dedicated account manager and assistance transitioning from existing payment systems. The loaned terminals are subject to terms and availability.
The Atlantic Chamber of Commerce represents businesses in Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. It advocates for policies supporting economic growth and connects members with business resources and services.
