Awareness of the education and support offered free by the Black Startup Project is growing among BIPOC founders who are taking advantage of the training and mentoring available from the Halifax-based network.
Upcoming workshops will look at how to start and grow your own business and how to solve customer needs. The information is also available online. Entrepreneurs can also attend mentoring sessions and social lunches.
The sessions are offered by Halifax-based network Tribe, which was founded in 2021 by social entrepreneur Alfred Burgesson. The website-linked offerings began in May, and Burgesson said in an email that over 100 entrepreneurs have now participated in a live session, mentor session or a Black founder lunch.
