Catch Propel CEO Kathryn Lockhart and me chatting with host Mark Leger on the Huddle podcast, which is now available.
I interviewed Lockhart last month, and she revealed an ambition to make Atlantic Canada a farm for "baby unicorns." These would be companies that are on their way to being $1 billion enterprises but are not there yet. She is on board with the longstanding Propel ambition to create a tech unicorn in Atlantic Canada, but in the shorter term she believes we should aim for a horde of mid-sized companies, all of them growing quickly.
The conversation sparked the interest of many in the startup community, including Leger, the Editor at Huddle and host of the Huddle Podcast.
So we got together Friday to discuss baby unicorns and what it would take to nurture them. Many thanks to Mark for inviting me aboard and to Kathryn for sharing her insights.
