Saint John-based Versos AI has been accepted into NVIDIA’s startup support program, NVIDIA Inception, the company announced Tuesday.

Versos AI develops technology that helps organizations convert large video libraries into structured datasets that can be used for artificial intelligence training, analytics and other AI applications. The company’s Video Library Intelligence Platform is designed to help media companies, film studios and other content owners organize, prepare, license and deliver video data to AI developers.

Versos, which announced a $1.85 million raise in December, said its platform indexes and enriches video content, tracks ownership and licensing information, and prepares data for use in AI workflows. It uses the C2PA protocol, an industry standard for content provenance and authenticity, to manage rights-cleared video assets.

“AI is only as powerful as the data infrastructure behind it,” said Versos CEO Chris Keevill in the statement. “Content owners are sitting on vast volumes of video that hold untapped value when licensed to AI labs. NVIDIA is a company at the heart of AI, and being invited into the NVIDIA Inception program will help us accelerate our growth.”

As a member of NVIDIA Inception, Versos AI will gain access to technical resources, training programs, hardware and software discounts, and networking opportunities with NVIDIA partners. The company said the program will help it expand the capabilities of its platform, particularly in areas such as video indexing, metadata enrichment, workflow orchestration and AI-ready data packaging.

NVIDIA Inception is a program for startups working in areas such as artificial intelligence, data science and high-performance computing. The program provides participants with access to technical support, educational resources through the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute, and preferred pricing on NVIDIA products.
