The mission of the MCE is to inspire and enable aspiring entrepreneurs and to help Memorial University become the leading entrepreneurial university in Canada. The centre provides entrepreneurial students throughout the university with foundational training, encouragement, guidance, access to funding and connections to create high-growth businesses. The MCE is looking for a Foundational Programming and Events Coordinator.
Since 2009, MindSea has been building world-class mobile apps used by millions of people across the U.S. and Canada. The company is looking for a Product Manager who will work closely with its Design and Development teams to bring products to life.
En Point’s software helps universities, companies, non-profits and professional associations to manage mentorship programs by logging the interactions between mentors and mentees. The metrics, which are chosen by each individual client organization, include how often people meet, for how long, and what they talk about. The company is looking for a Developer.

Responsibilities
- Produce reliable and maintainable software to meet the application and infrastructure needs of the En Point Mentorship platform
- Wear many hats, including leading development operations and quality assurance processes, working with CEO and third party vendor
- Embody En Point values by being customer-focused and supporting clients as they form meaningful mentorship relationships
- Work closely with the CEO and Client Success Manager to fulfill client's needs, responding to bugs and errors while taking care to prevent as many as possible.

Responsibilities
- Guiding clients through product innovation, prototype, validation, and development
- Work with existing clients to define product strategy for their mobile apps, both for immediate project needs and future roadmaps
- Effectively tracking and communicating project status and metrics
- Maintaining a strong and positive relationship with MindSea's clients
- Weigh business goals, user behaviour and competitive landscape to prioritize the product roadmap
- Leading a project team and ensuring development velocity
- Managing backlog, including: Prioritization, trimming and grooming features, sizing, and determining use cases and requirements
- Reviewing analytics and gathering business intelligence to inform product strategy
- Maintaining processes to ensure project management documentation, reports and plans are relevant, accurate and complete
- Communicate product vision from the highest levels of executive leadership to the development and implementation teams
- Work with the MindSea team of designers, developers, and QA to implement the features on the product backlog and release app updates
- Project management including estimation, scope, budgets, timelines, project obstacle removal and problem resolution
- Build lasting relationships with existing clients and partners
- Maintain high-quality products in the Apple and Google Play app stores

Memorial University Centre for Entrepreneurship
Foundational Programming and Events Coordinator
Reporting to the Director, Memorial Centre for Entrepreneurship, the Foundational Programming and Events Coordinator will be a creative thinker and coordinator with the ability to accelerate the learning of aspiring entrepreneurs at Memorial University. This candidate needs to demonstrate a strong commitment to the centre's mission. The Foundational Programming and Events Coordinator will lead the implementation of the MCE’s workshop series including developing the network of virtual speakers, tracking the impact of the workshops toward MCE’s objectives and adjusting accordingly, designing and managing the online learning curriculum; organizing small events such as the startup bootcamps for students working on startup ideas; organizing large events such as the annual Mel Woodward Cup, pitch competitions, hackathons, startup weekends, conferences, etc.; managing contractors and work term students supporting events logistics; managing the centre’s co-working space; and other duties as required.
Qualifications
Experience (3-5 years) in adult training coordination, including experience planning public events such as workshops, training, conferences and courses; an undergraduate degree; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. The successful applicant must be detail oriented and highly creative, with the ability to work effectively as part of an impact-driven team and the willingness to grow through feedback, taking risks and self-development. They must be able to seek and translate information, feedback and ideas into effective educational program content as well as establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships with individuals (especially students), community groups and local organizations. Some knowledge of the best practices and techniques for experiential learning and the lean startup methodology is an asset. Some experience in the thriving startup community in North America would also be an asset.
