Applications to become a Network Member at Volta Labs are now open. This is an opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to access the events, working space and networking opportunities the incubator has to offer.
The Halifax startup hub is nearing the grand opening of its new 60,000 square foot space in the Maritime Centre on Barrington Street. The opening, which is scheduled for September, will reveal a lobby and co-working space for its network members on the ground floor.
Volta has been preparing to triple its size, and therefore its capacity to house and mentor high-growth companies, since 2016. The startup house recieved over $4.5 million from the provincial and federal governments to establish Halifax as a cornerstone for the region's innovation scene.
Network members will pay a fee of $10 per month, or $100 per year. This fee will allows Volta to continue to add value to its program and help it invest in its new co-working platform, Optix, which will better support and connect the community.
